That thing on your to-do list for years. You know the one.

Type it into Omodo and pick when you’re free. At the time you picked, instead of the scroll, there’s an email: your first small step, 20 minutes tops, with Done right in it.

What’s different about this email

You pick the time and the place.

The email comes before that session, not at some random hour.

One small step, not a list.

The first one is 20 minutes tops. Too much that day? Tap Stuck and it gets smaller.

Done is in the email.

One tap, and no sign-in.

Miss one and it just goes.

Nothing to make up, no streak. Omodo asks once the next morning, and that’s it.

Why I made Omodo

My to-do list has everything I keep meaning to do: get in shape, start the online course I signed up for, write an essay due next week. Just imagining the essay topic is painful. When I’m free, I doomscroll instead, and weeks later I regret where the time went. I was stuck in a loop. What I needed was something to tell me exactly what to do with the next 15 minutes: for the essay, research first, then an outline, then one or two arguments a day. I don’t want to waste more years scrolling. So I built Omodo, and I hope it helps others stuck in the same loop.

Didn't tap anything? Omodo asks once

The next morning, one question. Tap Not this time and the session just goes: no catch-up, no streak, and the next one stays the size it was.

Omodo on a phone, Friday morning: Did you do it on Thursday?, over Run one minute, walk ninety seconds, five times, with Yes, I did and Not this time. Under it, Next: tomorrow at 09:00, Outside my front door: I walk slowly for five minutes to warm up, about 24 minutes, and the email that comes before it.
Tuesday, after Done

Where you stopped, kept for you

After a session, two short lines: where you stopped, and how to start next time. Leave a line, and your next session starts from it.

Omodo on a phone after Tuesday’s 12-minute session: That’s the first one done. Where I stopped: Walked to the end of the road and back. It felt easier than I thought. Start next time with: Run one minute, walk ninety seconds, five times. Thursday’s 06:45 email opens with these. Save and go to Today.

Questions

Before you type it in.

Why not just ask ChatGPT or Claude for a plan?

You can, and you'll get a decent plan. Then it's yours to keep going.

Omodo does that part: an email before each session with your note on where you stopped, and a missed session that just goes instead of piling up. Nothing to type when you don't feel like it.

Is it AI, and who sees what I type?

Yes. AI reads what you type, drafts your plan and writes each move, so what you type goes to the AI services listed in the Privacy Policy. The AI services don't train on it, under their API terms. Fixed rules, not AI, keep your sessions to the days and times you tapped and decide what a miss does.

Nobody else using Omodo can see your goals, and we don't sell them. Download a copy or delete your account any time from Settings.

More answers

I already block my apps. Do I still need this?

Keep your blocker. It stops the scroll, but it doesn’t say what to do instead. Omodo does: at the time you picked, one small step on the thing you’ve put off.

How is this different from a todo list or a habit tracker?

Those hold what you write down. You still decide what to do and when. Omodo plans short sessions at times you already have, hands you one move at a time, and keeps no streaks.

What if I miss a session?

The next one stays the size it was. Nothing to make up, nothing piles up. If you just don't tap, Omodo asks once, the next morning, whether you did it, and never counts that as a miss.

What does it cost, and what if I don't pay?

Free until your first win, or for 3 weeks, whichever comes first. Then $9 a month. No card. Your first win is your plan's first milestone, usually about a week in. If you don't pay, your plan and notes stay in the app, and the emails and new moves stop. Cancel any time from Settings.

Will the emails get annoying?

You choose how early each one comes. Turn them all off any time in Settings, or from the email itself. Nothing is deleted.

Is there an app to install?

No. Omodo runs in your phone's browser, and the nudge comes by email. To keep it one tap away, add it to your Home Screen. Prefer your phone's calendar? Settings adds each coming session to it, with a link to the move.

That thing on your list? Give it 20 minutes.
